If you watch much TV, then you’ve seen Rachel Andersen. You’ve watched her desperately attempt to save a poisoned witness for Jack Bauer (24). You’ve seen her kibitz with Cam Tucker (Modern Family). She’s offered assistance to Dr. “McDreamy” (Grey’s Anatomy), creeped out Will Smith (The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) and picked the brain of Marcia Clark (The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story). And soap fans, without a doubt, she’s got you gossiping about what she’s done on General Hospital, Young & Restless, All My Children and Passions.
And when these shows have cut to commercial, she’s sold you cell phone service (Verizon), fast food (McDonalds) and toothpaste (Aquafresh). She had a beautiful manicure messed up by potato chips (Lay’s). And when three men tried to impress her by sculpting the David out of beach sand, she delivered the money line: “Now that deserves an Arbor Mist!” The list of shows, commercials and notable scene partners goes on and on.
Rachel has also done plenty of short and feature length films and theater productions. She has BFA from Millikin University and a MFA from UCLA. She’s also a wife, a mom and an NPR junkie. And when she’s not on TV, look for her in the bleachers at UCLA basketball games.
